IHF Handball Challenge 14 is a handball sports game and the second in the series as the follow-up to IHF Handball Challenge 12. As a licensed game it offers 80 clubs for the 2013-2014 season for the leagues Ligue Nationale de Handball (France), DKB Handball-Bundesliga (Germany) and Liga ASOBAL (Spain), as well as 30 national teams, and live commentary in three languages (German, French and English). Players can also create their own leagues, players, and teams, and build a career for an entirely new player. It is possible to design custom tournaments and player with up to four players simultaneously.
The game offers seven arenas with seven different types of flooring. Controls are based on offensive or defensive positions. While attacking players are able to jump, throw, pass and perform body fakes. Additional controls offer sprinting, an alternative body fake, three alternative throws (lob, bouncer and spin), a hip throw, angled throw, bouncing pass and lob pass. When defending players are able to push, block, hold and change players. It is possible to provoke an offensive foul, intercept and sprint. While playing the tactical approach can be changed immediately. There are now also intro and outro scenes for each game.
